The midget’s the baby’s daddy
June 14th, 2006
Are the members of 446 the last people in the world to stumble upon the actually-crazy hip-hopera holy grail that is R Kelly’s “Trapped In the Closet?” It seems like everyone I talk to already knows about the terribly fake southern accents, inter-church affairs, and “blessed” midgets. Why didn’t anyone tell me about this? What’s more appealing than an eccentric pervert completely losing his mind over the course of a twelve-part music video series? Only one thing: the commentary track, where Kelly explains the completely obvious plot, predicts it’ll be around a hundred years from now, and casually mentions how he’s changing the way people think about song writing. This is the new art-brut.
